What a COA is.

A Certificate of Analysis is a laboratory document tied to a specific sample or batch. It can report identity, assay or purity, concentration, and other tests performed by the issuing laboratory.

IDENTITY

Does the tested sample match the stated compound?

Identity testing helps confirm what was analyzed. The report should make the tested material, method, and result clear enough to connect the document to the product.

ASSAY / PURITY

How much of the measured material is the intended compound?

Depending on the test and product type, a report may include purity, assay, concentration, or related analytical results. The method and units matter.

TRACEABILITY

Can the report be matched to a real batch?

A useful COA should include a lot or batch reference, report date, laboratory information, and enough identifying detail to compare it with the product label or fulfillment record.

WHAT A COA CAN SUPPORT

Batch-specific analytical information.

A COA can document the laboratory results reported for the tested sample. When the lot, product, laboratory, and date line up, it gives customers and the team a clearer record to review.

For sterile or injectable products, quality evaluation may require additional tests beyond identity and purity. A purity result by itself does not establish sterility.

WHAT A COA DOES NOT PROVE

It is not a substitute for regulatory or clinical review.

A COA does not by itself establish FDA approval, clinical effectiveness, suitability for a particular person, lawful sale in every jurisdiction, or safe use. It also cannot prove a chain of custody that is not documented.

Pep In Your Step does not publish fabricated sample reports as if they were batch-specific documents.
